TOPCRETE DECORATIVE STAMPED CONCRETE SYSTEM

PART I - General

Work Description: To provide 8-10 cms of concrete (or as specified by architect) that shall be colored with TopCrete Color Hardener. Using PaveCrete 300 Color Release Agent, the surface shall then be stamped with concrete stamping tools, then sealed with Clear Acrylic Sealer.

PART II - Product

Materials:

Dry Shake Coloring Agent: PaveCrete 200 Color Hardener, as manufactured Exclusively for TopCrete in rigid quality controlled plants.

Pigmented Release Agent: PaveCrete 300 Release Agent, as manufactured Exclusively for TopCrete in rigid quality controlled plants.

Clear Protective Coating: Acrylic Clear Seal.

TOPCRETE Tool Pattern (Cobblestone, Used Brick, Ashlar Slate, etc.) to be selected by architect.

The Stamped Concrete color hardener / Release Agent color combination to be selected by architect.

PART III - Execution:

Installation:
1. Concrete mix design shall contain a minimum of 300 Kg/cubic Meter of type I, II, and if subjected to salts, type V Portland Cement, depending on soil conditions. Concrete shall have a minimum compressive strength of 2,500 psi after 28 days. Maximum slump shall be 4 inches. Fiber modified concrete is permissible. Expansion joints shall be installed as in standard concrete practices.

2. Concrete shall be placed and screeded to the desired grade, and then floated, using standard concrete practices.

3. Apply an even application of PaveCrete 200 Color Hardener to the concrete surface, using the standard dry-shake method. Product shall be applied in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. At least two applications shall be required. Float after each application.

4. Before stamping tools are applied to the concrete surface, apply PaveCrete 300 Release Agent in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.

5. While concrete is still in its plastic state, apply the desired stamping tool pattern to the surface of the concrete. Tools shall be properly stamped into the surface to achieve the desired texture.

6. Control joints shall be cut at pre-determined areas no later that 12 hours after the concrete has been placed or as appropriate for the weather conditions. Excess Release Agent shall also be removed at this time.

7. TopCrete Stamped Concrete shall then be sealed with a minimum of 1 coat of Acrylic Clear Seal. Product shall be applied in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
